Server-Side Analytics
In addition to browser-based cookies, we operate a lightweight, first-party analytics system that runs entirely on our servers. This system does not set any cookies or use browser fingerprinting. It works as follows:
What We Collect
When you visit a public profile page (expert or startup), a single server request records:
- Visitor IP address — derived from standard HTTP headers. Used to approximate geographic region; never shared with third parties.
- User agent — your browser name and version, sent automatically by every browser with each request.
- Referrer URL — the page you came from (if your browser sends it), to understand traffic sources.
- Engagement metrics — time spent on the page and how far you scrolled (scroll depth percentage). These are updated when you leave the page.
How It Works
When a profile page loads, a request is sent to our /api/track-view endpoint which stores a record in our database. As you interact with the page, scroll depth and duration are measured client-side and sent to the same endpoint when you navigate away or switch tabs. No additional network requests are made while you are reading the page.
Why We Collect This
This data helps the experts and startups listed on our platform understand how visitors engage with their profile pages. We process it under our legitimate interest in improving the platform. The data is stored securely in our database and is never sold or shared with third-party advertisers.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any server-side data we hold about your visits by contacting us at privacy@execution.capital.
Third-Party Cookies
